Full-Groom Questions Answered

For most coated breeds (Doodles, Poodles, Shih Tzus, Schnauzers, Yorkies), every 4–6 weeks keeps the coat from matting and the cut looking fresh. Short-coat breeds (Beagles, Boxers, Labs) only need a full groom every 8–12 weeks — a quick bath-and-tidy in between is usually plenty. Senior dogs and dogs with skin conditions sometimes do better on a 6–8 week rhythm. Isabella will recommend the right schedule at your first visit.

Absolutely — a big part of what we do. We use no cage drying, calm music, and separate small-dog and large-dog areas so your pup isn't overwhelmed. Nervous and senior dogs are scheduled during quiet windows so they get extra time and patience. We stop, take breaks, and never force anything. If your dog has serious fear or aggression history, just tell us at booking and we'll plan the appointment accordingly — including the option of mobile grooming where they stay in their own driveway.

A small-dog full groom typically takes 1.5–2 hours. Medium dogs run 2–2.5 hours. Large doodles, double-coated breeds, and matted dogs run 2.5–3.5 hours. We don't rush — we'd rather take an extra 20 minutes and do it right than send your dog home with a sloppy cut or stressed nerves. You'll get a text when pickup is ready, plus a photo of your freshly-groomed pup.
