For most services (baths, full grooms, breed cuts), booking 5โ10 days ahead is usually enough. For Saturday slots, larger doodles, and our most-requested groomers, we recommend 2โ3 weeks in advance โ those fill fastest. Mobile grooming is easier to book on shorter notice. If you're flexible on day or time, call us at (305) 555-0389 and we'll find a slot that works.
Yes โ for the safety of all dogs in the studio, we require current Rabies, DHPP (distemper/parvo), and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccinations. Please bring or email your vet's vaccination record before your first appointment. Puppies need to have completed their puppy series before grooming. We're happy to schedule a "puppy first bath" intro session for puppies who've had their full vaccine series โ it's a great way to start them on grooming positively.
We use professional, dog-safe shampoos and conditioners โ including oatmeal-based formulas for sensitive skin, hypoallergenic options for puppies and allergy-prone dogs, de-shedding shampoos for double coats, and tear-free formulas for the face. All products are cruelty-free and pH-balanced for canine skin (which is very different from human skin). If your dog has a specific skin condition or allergy, just let us know โ we can adjust the products for them.
Please do โ photos are the best way to communicate the cut you want. Save 3โ5 images of haircuts you love, plus 1โ2 examples of styles you want to avoid. During the pre-groom consult, we'll assess how achievable each look is given your dog's coat type, current length, and any matting. We'll always be honest if a style won't translate exactly โ and suggest alternatives that will look great. Sometimes it just takes a grow-out cycle to get the desired look.
We ask for at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. This allows us to offer the slot to another pet parent on our waitlist. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a 50% service fee. No-shows may be charged the full service amount and may require a deposit for future bookings. We understand emergencies happen โ just reach out as soon as you know, and we'll work with you.
Yes โ Sofia and Camila are our designated handlers for nervous, reactive, senior, and special-needs dogs. Please tell us at booking if your dog has bite history, fear-based aggression, severe anxiety, or medical issues that affect grooming (recent surgery, hip dysplasia, blindness, deafness, etc.). For dogs with serious aggression history, we may schedule a meet-and-greet first or recommend the mobile van where they stay in their own driveway. We never sedate dogs โ we work at their pace, take breaks, and stop if needed.
Yes โ Pawfect Grooming Studio holds a Florida Pet Care Services license and is fully insured (studio + mobile van). Our lead groomers are NDGAA-certified (National Dog Groomers Association of America) with breed-specific training. Several team members are also Fear Free certified for handling anxious and special-needs dogs. We follow strict sanitation protocols โ every tool is sanitized between dogs, and the bathing station is fully cleaned after every appointment.
Walk-ins are welcome for nail trims and quick add-ons (ear clean, anal glands, teeth brushing) when availability allows โ call ahead to check. Full grooms, baths, and breed cuts require an appointment because they're time-intensive and require a groomer to be assigned. We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Zelle, and cash. Gratuity is appreciated and can be added to card payments. We do not accept personal checks. For first-time mobile grooming appointments and large multi-dog visits, a deposit may be required to confirm the reservation.
Yes โ we offer monthly grooming memberships for regular clients (every 4-, 6-, or 8-week schedule) that lock in a lower rate and priority booking. We also offer pre-paid bath packages (5- and 10-bath bundles at a discount) and a referral reward โ bring a new pet parent in and you each get $15 off your next appointment. Ask at checkout or call the studio for current pricing and availability.
