Furminator de-shed bath and undercoat removal โ we remove 90% of loose hair so your couch, car, and clothes stay clean for weeks.
We offer two levels of de-shedding โ a quick add-on for moderate shedders, or a full stand-alone treatment for the heavy-coat breeds. We'll honestly recommend which one your pup actually needs at drop-off.
| Service | Time | Frequency | Cost Range | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| De-Shed Add-On | +30 min on top of bath | Every 6โ8 weeks | $35โ$65 | Moderate shedders, short-coat doubles (Lab, Boxer) |
| Full De-Shed Treatment | 90โ120 min | Every 6โ10 weeks | $75โ$150 | Heavy doubles โ Husky, Malamute, Shepherd, Golden, Newfie |
| Blow-Out Coat Treatment | 2โ2.5 hrs | Spring/fall coat blow | $95โ$175 | Seasonal "coat blowing" โ heavy spring & fall undercoat shed |
| Matted Undercoat Recovery | 2โ3 hrs | One-time recovery | $120โ$200 | Severely matted double-coats that haven't been brushed for months |
We assess coat thickness, undercoat density, and check for any matting or skin issues. Loose surface hair is brushed out before the bath so the shampoo can penetrate down to the skin.
We use a specialized de-shedding shampoo and conditioner that loosens the undercoat and lifts dead hair away from the skin. Both products sit for 5โ8 minutes for full effect.
The high-velocity dryer is the real star โ it blasts loose undercoat out from the skin level up. Expect a literal cloud of dog hair. This step alone removes 60โ70% of the dead coat.
We finish with the Furminator de-shedding tool and a slicker brush, working in sections from skin out. By the end, 90%+ of loose undercoat is gone โ and you're left wondering how it all fit on one dog.
