Carlos Rivera
Licensed Landscape Contractor

Carlos Rivera grew up in Tucson helping his father maintain local ranches and residential properties across southern Arizona. He developed a deep appreciation for how desert landscapes work — how water moves through soil, which plants thrive in the Sonoran climate, and how to create beautiful outdoor spaces that actually survive Phoenix's brutal summers.

After earning his AZ Landscape Contractor license in 2009, Carlos launched GreenScape Pros in 2010 with one truck, two crew members, and a handful of Scottsdale clients. His approach was simple: treat every property like it's your own, never cut corners, and be obsessively reliable.

Son Marco Joins the Team

A Family Business Built
on Arizona Roots

In 2020, Carlos's son Marco Rivera joined GreenScape Pros after studying landscape architecture at ASU. Marco brought fresh design thinking to the company — he leads our design-build division and has transformed how we approach new installs.

Marco's background in design, combined with Carlos's 16 years of hands-on installation experience, creates a powerful combination. Every GreenScape project starts with Marco's vision and ends with Carlos's quality control. Clients get the best of both worlds — creative, sustainable design and flawless execution.

Together, they've completed over 4,800 projects across Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Chandler, and Gilbert. Their specialty: desert-adapted landscapes that look stunning, conserve water, and require minimal upkeep — the perfect combination for busy Arizona homeowners.

Marco also leads our monsoon preparedness consultations — helping homeowners shore up drainage, stake vulnerable trees, and protect new plantings before storm season arrives each July.
